About This Quote

Quiet, she hissed at me, her voice shockingly aggressive for such a small person. She hissed at me as if she had some right to do so. What had I done to her? I didn’t know, but she had some right to be angry with me. I didn’t know what she was referring to and it made me angry.

She wasn’s not telling me and I didn’t know what she was talking about. I wanted to say something back, but I found myself silent and afraid of the consequences of speaking up.
